Things to do in your 'spare' time
I thought the Hobbies Section needed some content.
How about taking up a new pastime? Here's one I tried.
After discovering Ceilidh Dancing while on holiday in Scotland I thought it would be good to be able do do something similar during the rest of the year. So I tried finding Ceilidhs in England.
This was less than successful. Although I met a lot of interesting people and had some pleasant evenings out, it didn't quite 'hit the spot'. Ask me about it!
So the next step was to look for more dancing. This time the emphasis on the 'Scottish' rather than the 'Ceilidh' idea.
That took me to Scottish Country Dancing with the Caledonian Society in Durham.

Great hobby! And healthy too Have you also tried Sequence or ballroom dancing, or are you 'strictly' Scottish?
Ok, I'm going to bite - tell me about the 'didn't hit the spot' bit

OK, so what was the problem with Ceilidhs in England?
There are two strands to the problem one being the dancing which is mostly 'English Folk'. The other is the music which is typically, 'English Folk'.
