Forum Guidelines

This site is currently under construction, so if you have just joined, you might find things change from day to day as the forum evolves. Don't worry - this is entirely normal and will settle down shortly.
The purpose of the forum is for likeminded people to be able to discuss all things 'HomeGrown'. There can be a mutual sharing of ideas and assistance given to others from our own experience. We are not experts, doctors, sports coaches, etc, so please ensure that you pass any advice through a relevant qualified person before acting on suggestions or advice offered, where appropriate.
After registering, please start by introducing yourself at 'The Welcome Mat'. It's good for people to be able to welcome you to the forum and also that we find out a little about you and your interests. Once you have signed up, you will find two other categories open up for you to see - these are 'members only' areas. These areas cannot be seen by anyone just browsing; one area is available so you can feel free to post in here things you would not want a casual observer to read; the other is 'The Closet' and relates specifically to religious matters from an Anabaptist perspective.
As with all communities, some rules are needed to ensure no-one feels uncomfortable being here. We also need to ensure we comply with the law. For this reason, it may be necessary to delete posts from time to time, or lock a thread or forum. Occasionally, this will happen without warning, but usually you can expect to have a warning in your PM box before action is taken. If we have to delete a post, we will notify you of the reason. On rare occasions, it may be necessary to moderate or even ban a member, if the inappropriate material continues.
We will not tolerate bullying, belittling, or abuse of other members. Please be thoughtful and considerate towards other forum users. It is possible to disagree with someone without resorting to abuse of that person.
Racism, swearing and overt sexual comments are not allowed.
You must not speak in a defamatory manner about another person, or a company; please be careful how you express yourself when posting.
Topics that are not to the point of this forum may be moved to a relevant place, or deleted.
Do not copy from another website wholesale without seeking permission to do so, or acknowledging the source of your quote.
Finally, please use your common sense when posting and we hope you enjoy your stay
